Semi-metallic brake pad formula and characteristics

Semi-metallic brake pads mainly use rough steel wool fibers as reinforcing fibers and important mixtures. From the appearance, there are fine steel wool fibers on the surface of the brake pads, which can be easily distinguished from ceramic brake pads. In addition, they also have a certain degree of magnetism.
The presence of steel wool fibers makes semi-metallic brake pads have higher strength and thermal conductivity, high braking sensitivity, and high-temperature braking efficiency. They can be applied to the braking conditions of automobiles running at high speeds and heavy loads. The greater advantage of semi-metallic brake pads lies in their temperature control ability and higher braking temperature. When braking, they can help the brake disc dissipate heat from its surface, and the heat is transferred to the brake caliper and its components. More importantly, semi-metallic brake pads are cost-effective.
At the same time, semi-metallic brake pads also have disadvantages: due to their high metal content, semi-metallic brake pads are more likely to generate noise than ceramic brake pads; and in low-temperature environments, high metal content means that the friction pads will cause greater surface wear of the brake disc.
In order to avoid this relative disadvantage, our company adopts the following methods to improve:
